Guinea's total limestone reserves are not too impressing and make up 40-45 mln tons. Explored reserves don't exceed 31 mln tons. Limestone searches resulted in discovering three small deposits: Lebekere, Kourounde, Amaraya. The material is characterized by low Calcium oxide content (38-40%). Total limestone reserves of the Kourounde deposit come to 6.2 mln tons, explored reserves - to 4.2 mln tons (CaO content from 42.7 to 47.2%). In the Amaraya deposit total reserves count 5.7 mln tons with 40-48.6% CaO, in Lebekere - 19.4 mln tons with 38.6 to 44.5% CaO.
