by J.B.Wright, D.A.Hastings and others
Geology and Mineral Resources of West Africa
This is the first book on the geology of any part of Africa to provide a balanced treatment of all the various aspects. It gives as much attention to the metamorphic basement as to the stratigraphic complexities of the sedimentary cover and to the field relationship and petrology of the magmatic rocks. Throughout the book, the considerable mineral wealth of the region is related to the geological settings in which particular deposits are found, be it oil in sediments, tin in granites, or iron ores on the craton.
